Howdy Mr C - just stopping by to wish you a very happy 50th and overdue congratulations on your great and well-deserved success. I am hoping for a completion of The Naled Saga at some juncture so will watch this space ;) Happy days, memories and welcome to the sixth decade old friend. DW

Hi Alex, much appreciated. I wanted to go very dark here, and in the end I guess the character of Vincent Cullayn is about as dark as you can go in YA fiction.

My Grandma bought me The Doomspell when I was younger, I must have been about 9 or 10 years old... I frequently re-read it again and again through the years... Then I recently saw all three of the books combined into one paperback in a bookshop, and decided to buy it. Well I couldn't put it down! I'm almost 20 now, and still found it just as captivating as I did the first time round. When I found your website I couldn't believe The Doomspell was your first book! The whole trilogy is extremely well written and very magical. My mother, who is in her late 40s also enjoyed it very much, so it just shows you that your work appeals to adults too. I ordered the Silver Sequence online and it has just come through my letter box! I am really looking forward to getting stuck into it!

Hi Rachael, I'm pleased to tell you that the Doomspell series has been re-released in great single volumes too. See the website for the covers, which are much better than the last lot. Really pleased too that after all these years you still like them. The silver books arre actulaly my personal favourites, but they were such an extreme contrats to the Doomspell books that a lot of readers wondered if I'd gone insane. The truth is that i just wanted to try something very different ...
